The famous resort has been awarded the prestigious prize for the 7-th consecutive year. I guess this is no surprise for everyone, who has visited Bulgaria in the winter. Ski resort № 1 in our country was rewarded from the highest instance in the tourism industry - “The World Ski Awards”. The ceremony took place in Kitzbuehel, Austria. It is important to note, that Bansko took the prize after competing with the 26 best destinations in the world. More than 1.6 million clients and professionals from 143 countries participated in the voting process at Worldskiawards.com, that makes it the largest survey in the industry.
The award ceremony was impressive, not only because of the red carpet. The representatives from Bansko and Bulgaria, who received the prize, were dressed in traditional folk costumes and provoked a real furor, being the most attractive under the spotlight.
Like always, the list of Bansko awards is not so short. The prize for Best Ski Hotel went also in Bansko - to “Kempinski Grand Arena”. The Kempinski Hotel has won this award since 2013 (except 2016).
